Silence The silence seems so comforting
That you couldn't resist it
And slowly you give in,
Basking in what appears to be tranquillity
You close your eyes
And feel all the emotions
Slowly being washed away

Hours, days, weeks, months.
Years.

And then emotions you have long forgotten
Emotions you thought you've gotten rid of
Slowly come back to you
Confusing, painful.

And the silence that you've gotten used to...
Now deafening,
Unbearable.
And you feel the misery, loneliness,
And pain of it all.
Always You have built your own world
Your own limits,
Your own boundaries.

You have promised yourself not to cross the lines
Remain where you have always been
No change could ever be seen in your life

Mundanity.
Routine.
Misery.

And you feel chained
Trapped
Tied to all these.

But you don't want to get hurt
You don't want to be humiliated
You don't want to suffer

You keep inside those boundaries
And watch as the world goes by
As everyone smiles into the morning

As everyone else beams into the night
You stay in the same spot
As always.
Lost Lost.
The path is slowly fading away in front me.
And I know,
Sooner or later,
It would all be gone
And I wouldn't know where to go,
I would not be able to escape
I will be trapped here.
Forever.
Lost.
And all the thoughts in my mind have become convoluted.
And even my memory has turned frail,
Not able to remember the pains of the past,
And the hope that dreams have brought.
Lost.
In this maze of eternal promises and lies.
Every step unsure.
With every turn a risk.
Lost.
And I continue to pry away.
With no direction.
